Meet the Future of Women's Soccer: Rachel Bastone

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara women's soccer has signed Rachel Bastone to a National Letter of Intent. Bastone is from Mission Viejo, Calif. and attended JSerra Catholic High School.

Bastone was her team's captain and named team MVP is 2019. A USA Today Second Team selection and All-State All American, she was First Team Orange County in 2019 and on the second team in 2018. She was also named first team all-conference and first team All-CIF in 2018 and 2019 and second team in 2017.

Bastone's high school team was CIF Southern Section and State champions in in 2017, 2018, and 2019 and Trinity League champions in 2017 and 2019.

She played club for the SoCal Blues.

The youngest of four, Bastone's brother Frankie was a member of the Santa Clara men's soccer team.

Her work in the classroom got her named a scholar athlete all four years. She plays to major in Biology with a minor in Public Health Science.

In her free time, Bastone enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing sports, and going to the beach.
