Kennedy Named All-Academic; Nine Other Women's Soccer Players Honored

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Senior Natalie Kennedy was named West Coast Conference All-Academic and nine other Broncos were also honored. Machaela George, Marika Guay, Kaile Halvorsen, Kelcie Hedge, Sofia Jones, Kaitlyn Parcell, DB Pridham, Skylar Smith, and Kelsey Turnbow were named honorable mention.

This is the second straight all-academic nod for Kennedy after being honored in 2018. She was honorable mention in 2017. Kennedy has a 4.0 GPA as a Public Health Science major. She played in 17 games and made 10 starts with one assist.

George has a 3.43 GPA as a communication major. She started and played in all but one game, scoring four goals and adding six assists.

Guay has a 3.23 GPA in the School of Arts and Sciences. She played in 21 games and made 11 starts while scoring a goal.

Halvorsen has a 3.3 GPA and majors in Biology. She appeared in 18 games and had one assist.

Hedge has a 3.48 GPA as a communication major. She was named Second Team All-West Region and Second Team All-WCC after starting all 23 games and scoring five goals with 10 assists, which tied for 22nd nationally. Hedge was also honorable mention in 2018.

Jones majors in Management Information Systems and has a 3.93 GPA. She started all 23 games on the backline and contributed to 10 shutouts. This is the second year in a row Jones has been honorable mention.

Parcell has a 3.67 GPA and majors in communication. She played in 15 games and scored one goal with three assists.

Pridham majors in political science and has a 3.46 GPA. She appeared in 16 games and had two assists. This is her third consecutive honorable mention nod.

Smith has a 3.63 GPA as a business major. She played in 18 games with one start and scored two goals with one assist.

Turnbow is majoring in finance and has a 3.33 GPA. She was First Team All-West Region and First Team All-WCC while playing in all 23 games with 19 starts. Turnbow finished 10th in the country with 40 points, tied for 19th with 15 goals, and tied for 22nd with 10 assists. She was also honorable mention last year.
