2021 WCC Baseball All-Academic Release
SAN MATEO, Calif. – Santa Clara baseball had another strong showing with 18 student-athletes honored as West Coast Conference All-Academic. The 18 honorees topped last year's total of 11, which was the highest for the program since at least 2005.
All 18 Broncos were named All-WCC honorable mention: Tony Boetto, Mike Bowes, Coleman Brigman, Brandon Buckley, Jason Dicochea, Freddie Erlandson, Jared Feikes, Travis Howard, Matt Jew, Cole Kitchen, Eamonn Lance, Jake MacNichols, Ryan McCarthy, Matthew McGarry, Michael O'Hara, Austin Reyes, Nick Sando and Alex Waldsmith.
Erlandson (masters of arts in educational leadership) earned his third-straight accolade while Howard, McCarthy, McGarry and Reyes were named honorable mention for the second time in the same academic discipline. Boetto (finance) also earned his second recognition.
Bowes (masters in business administration), Brigman (finance), Buckley (masters of science in marketing), Dicochea (communication), Feikes (biochemistry), Jew (finance), Kitchen (bioengineering), Lance (finance), MacNichols (masters of science in marketing), O'Hara (finance), Sando (finance) and Waldsmith (masters of science in marketing) each earned their first all-academic honors.
To be recognized, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum 3.20 cumulative grade point average based on the most recently completed term, have at least sophomore athletic and academic standing with at least one year in residence completed.
