MADRID, Spain - Day three of Santa Clara men's basketball's 2022 foreign tour saw the Broncos get a truly unique taste of the Spanish Culture with a pair of iconic experiences - the Museo Nacional del Prado and an authentic flamenco show.
The day began with a quick practice to prep for tomorrow's game against Baloncesto Estudiantes followed by a trip to Museo Nacional del Prado (also known as the Prado National Museum). The museum is considered to be among the finest and most well-known art exhibits in the world. Split into to groups, players, coaches, donors and staff received a two-hour guided tour to learn about some of the most culturally-significant and iconic art pieces in Spanish history. Photos were not allowed in the majority of the museum interior.
After a quick recess, the Broncos were on the move once more to partake in a team dinner at Los Galayos, which proved to be yet another fantastic dining experience. It was then a quick walk from the restaurant over to perhaps the most unique experience of the trip so far - a flamenco show. Check out the video below for up close view of this fascinating tradition along with some thoughts from our student-atheletes.
