SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Santa Clara men's basketball's 2022-23 season is just around the corner! The Broncos will tip-off the season on Nov. 7 at home against Eastern Washington in the first of 15 non-conference games on Santa Clara's 2022-23 schedule, as announced on Thursday. 

"I couldn't be more excited to get this season started," head coach Herb Sendek said. "Our non-conference schedule features some really strong opponents that will provide a great test for our team. I'm also really excited that the majority of these games will be played at home, which will give our fans, students and supporters plenty of opportunities to come see us. We hope to see everyone on November 7th for our first game against Eastern Washington."

The non-conference slate features 10 games that will be played from the comfort of home inside the Leavey Center. In addition to the season-opener vs. the Eagles, Santa Clara will host Georgia Southern (11/10), Menlo College (11/23), Sacramento State (12/3), New Mexico State (12/7), San Jose State (12/10), Portland State (12/13), UC Irvine (12/15), Cal (12/18) and Boise State (12/22). 

The Broncos, now in year eight of the Herb Sendek era, will play just one true road game in non-conference play, a West Coast Conference/Mountain West Conference showdown against Utah State in Logan, Utah, on Nov. 14. Santa Clara will also take part in one tournament, the Baha Mar Bahamas Championship in the Bahamas on November 18 and 20, and will play two neutral-site games against Iona (11/26) and Wyoming (11/30) in Las Vegas and Salt Lake City, respectively. 

With Thursday's announcement, the Broncos' 2022-23 schedule is now complete.
