SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara women's basketball remains on the road and faces Pepperdine Thursday at 7 p.m.

The Broncos topped San Francisco 80-72 on the road in their lone game of the week.

SERIES HISTORY
Santa Clara is 40-39 all-time against Pepperdine with the first meeting coming in 1978-79. Last season the Waves won both matchups.

THE BRONCOS
Santa Clara (8-6, 2-1 WCC) is scoring 74.5 points per game, second in the WCC, while shooting 44.9-percent from the field, third in the conference, and 34.5-percent from beyond the arc.

Tia Hay leads the team with 13.1 ppg and 3.8 assists per game. Ashlyn Herlihy grabs a team leading 7.3 rpg while scoring 10.5 ppg and Merle Wiehl adds 10.9 ppg with a team high 24 3-pointers made. Lauren Yearwood is second in the league with 23 blocks and is adding 8.8 ppg and 6.5 rpg.

THE WAVES 
Pepperdine (7-7, 1-3 WCC) is averaging 63.6 ppg while allowing 64.8. the Waves shoot 36.4-percent from the field and 31.7-percent from downtown while allowing marks of 40.6 and 30.8.

Paige Fecske averages a team leading 11.4 ppg and Malia Bambrick adds 10.8. Barbara Sitanggan leads the team with 4.3 apg while scoring 8.9 ppg and adding 6.0 rpg. Monique Andriuolo's 6.8 rpg are the most on the team and she adds 8.3 ppga s well.
