SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara women's basketball heads back on the road and plays at San Diego Thursday at noon.

The Broncos dropped a pair of games last week to No. 16/13 Gonzaga and Portland.

SERIES HISTORY
Santa Clara is 36-41 all-time against San Diego with the first meeting coming in 1984-85. Last season the teams split during the regular season, each winning on the other's home court, with the Broncos winning in the first round of the WCC Tournament.

THE BRONCOS
Santa Clara (8-10, 2-5 WCC) leads the West Coast Conference in scoring with 72.3 points per game while shooting 43.3-percent from the field and 33.5-percent from downtown.

Tia Hay leads the team with 12.8 ppg and is sixth in the conference with 3.9 assists per game. Ashlyn Herlihy leads the team with 7.5 rebounds per game and is second in scoring with 10.4 ppg. Merle Wiehl adds 9.5 ppg and 4.7 rpg while hitting a team high 26 3-pointers. Tamia Braggs' 55.7-percent mark from the floor is tops in the league and she is adding 7.5 ppg and 3.4 rpg while starting the last eight contests.

THE TOREROS 
San Diego (10-8, 4-3 WCC) is scoring 62.2 ppg as a team, second to last in the conference, but allow just 58.8 ppg, third in the league. The Toreros shoot 37.4-percent from the floor while allowing 40.9-percent.

Myah Pace leads the team with 11.9 ppg while adding 5.5 rpg and 3.2 apg. Madison Pollock scores 11.1 ppg with a. team best 5.8 rpg. Jordyn Edwards scores 9.3 ppg and leads the team with 22 3-pointers made and 3.9 apg.
