SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Eighth-seeded Santa Clara women's basketball heads to Las Vegas to take on ninth-seeded San Francisco in the first round of the West Coast Conference Tournament Thursday at noon.
The Broncos closed out the regular season with an overtime win at Saint Mary's and a heartbreaking loss at Pacific.
SERIES HISTORY
Santa Clara is 63-41 all-time against San Francisco with the first meeting coming in 1964-65. The Broncos and Dons split the season series, each winning on the other's home court.

Tia Hay averages a team high 12.4 ppg, 3.6 assists per game, and 1.3 steals per game. Ashlyn Herlihy is second in scoring with 10.4 ppg and grabs a team best 7.0 rebounds per game. Merle Wiehl has knocked down 42 3-pointers, tops on the team, while averaging 9.1 ppg and 4.2 rpg.

THE DONS
San Francisco (12-18, 5-13 WCC) scores 64.4 ppg while allowing 69.2. The Dons shoot 39.6-percent from the floor and 32.2-percent from beyond the arc.
Mikayla Williams leads a trio of double digit scorers with 14.9 ppg and adds 8.8 rpg. Lucie Hoskova scores 14.1 ppg with a team leading 38 3-pointers made and 2.2 apg. Leilah Vigil leads the team with 10.2 rpg and scores 12.3 ppg as well.
