NOTES

• The Broncos opened the week by knocking off No. 2 Stanford on the road Tuesday night.
• It was the Broncos first win over Stanford since the finale of a four-game series in 2021. Santa Clara's last midweek win over the Cardinal came in 2016 and the last win in Palo Alto came in 2015.
• Santa Clara is hitting .251/.406/.432 as a team with 68 runs scored on 17 doubles, two triples, and 13 home runs.
• Dawson Brigman leads the team in hitting with a .324 batting average and OBP with a .500 mark to go with a .588 slugging percentage. He has four doubles, a triple, a home run, and nine runs scored with six RBIs, 11 walks, and two stolen bases. Efrain Manzo is tied for the team lead with three home runs and has six RBIs while hitting .275 with a .408 OBP. Malcolm Williams is hitting .282 with a team-high tying eight RBIs and has a home run with four stolen bases. Jack Harnisch also has three home runs and eight RBIs.
• On the mound, Santa Clara has a 4.40 ERA with 102 strikeouts in 88 innings.
• Blake Hammond has thrown 7 1/3 shutout innings in four games out of the bullpen with 12 strikeouts. Cade Pilchard has appeared in four games and tossed 6 1/3 shutout innings with nine strikeouts. In three starts and a relief appearance, Cole Kitchen leads the team in innings with 15 1/3 and is second in strikeouts with 16. Skylar Hales 17 strikeouts in 10 2/3 innings are the most on the team.
• Cole Kitchen was named the WCC Pitcher of the Week on March 6.
• The Broncos 2022 recruiting class was top-65 according to Perfect Game and tops in the WCC.  Twelve join the team as freshman with five transferring in.
• With Schott Stadium currently under construction for renovations, the home series with Villanova will potentially be played at a local off-campus site. The renovations include a completely new turn playing surface, padded fence around the stadium, a new batter's eye, all new chair back seats inside the stadium, and a remodel of the VIP Suite and press box.
