SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Santa Clara baseball swept the West Coast Conference's weekly awards. Efrain Manzo was named the Player of the Week with Skylar Hales being named the Pitcher of the Week. Both players had huge roles in the Broncos beating No. 2 Stanford and then sweeping Villanova.

Manzo went off at the plate hitting .500 (8-for-16) over the four games, including an astounding 7-for-10 against the Wildcats. He made sure to do damage as well, finishing with four doubles and a home run while knocking in four and scoring four times as well.

Hales pitched at Stanford and again in the series finale against Villanova, picking up the win. He punched out the side against the Cardinal, and then did it in each of his three innings Sunday to give him 12 strikeouts in 4 innings. He also allowed just one hit and one walk.

The Broncos are back in action this weekend as they open conference play at Saint Mary's on Friday.
