SAN MATEO, Calif. – Santa Clara baseball had eight players honored on the All-West Coast Conference teams in a vote of the league's head coaches.

Skylar Hales, Blake Hammond, and Michael O'Hara were named to the second with JonJon Berring, Coleman Brigman, Efrain Manzo and August Souza nabbing honorable mention. Thomas Ferroggiaro was named all-freshman.

Hales has appeared in 19 games while tossing 47 1/3 innings with a 2.85 ERA. He has a team-high-tying six wins and has added six saves with 63 strikeouts. He was WCC Pitcher of the Week on March 13. Last season Hales was honorable mention.

Hammond has a 2.40 ERA in 17 appearances and is tied with Hales with six wins. In 45 innings he has punched out 63 and has one save.

O'Hara is hitting .321 on the season with 11 doubles, three triples, and three home runs to go with 35 RBIs and 43 runs scored.

Berring has a .322 batting average and has 12 steals. He has hit eight doubles, three triples, and one home run while scoring 27 runs and driving in 22. Last season he was honorable mention.

Brigman has started every game and is hitting .298/.370/.510 with 10 doubles, one triple, and 10 home runs. He has also swiped 10 bags, scored 31 runs, and driven in 39.

Manzo has also started every game and leads the team with 16 home runs, 50 RBIs, and 45 runs scored while slashing .304/.407/.665. He was named WCC Player of the Week on March 13.

Souza leads the team with a 1.69 ERA and has appeared in 11 games with a team high five saves. Over 26 2/3 innings he has struck out 26.

Ferroggiaro has come on late in the season. In 28 games, including 21 starts, he has two doubles, 10 RBIs, and seven runs scored.
