NOTES

•  This will be the first games at the newly renovated Schott Stadium. The renovations include a completely new turf playing surface, padded fence around the stadium, a new batter's eye, all new chair back seats inside the stadium, and a remodel of the VIP Suite and press box.
• Santa Clara is hitting .264/.399/.419 as a team with 105 runs scored on 27 doubles, two triples, and 17 home runs.
• Efrain Manzo leads the team in slugging percentage at .632 and runs scored with 14 and is tied for the team-lead in hitting with a .316 batting average.  He has a team best four home runs and six doubles and has knocked in 10. JonJon Berring is also hitting .316 with nine runs scored, four doubles, a home run, and 10 RBIs. Coleman Brigman is hitting .310 with a team high 15 RBIs and eight stolen bases. He has hit three home runs and scored 13 runs.
• On the mound, Santa Clara has a 3.54 ERA, with 167 strikeouts against 59 walks in 145 innings.
• Cole Kitchen's 27 2/3 innings lead the team and he has punched out a team-high tying 29 and is also tied for the team lead with three wins while posting a 1.95 ERA. Brandon Gomez also has 29 punch outs in 26 innings and three wins with a 2.08 ERA. Cade Pilchard has tossed 8 1/3 innings without allowing an earned run in five games out of the bullpen with 11 strikeouts and a save. Skylar Hales has 27 strikeouts in 16 innings. Blake Hammond has a 0.75 ERA in 12 innings with 18 strikeouts and Nick Sando has struck out 20 in 15 innings.
• Brandon Gomez was named WCC co-Pitcher of the Week on March 20, giving the Broncos three-straight honors.
• Santa Clara swept the WCC weekly awards on March 13 with Efrain Manzo being named the Player of the Week and Skylar Hales the Pitcher of the Week.
• Cole Kitchen was named the WCC Pitcher of the Week on March 6.
• Santa Clara knocked off No. 2 Stanford on the road March 7.
• It was the Broncos first win over Stanford since the finale of a four-game series in 2021. Santa Clara's last midweek win over the Cardinal came in 2016 and the last win in Palo Alto came in 2015.
• The Broncos 2022 recruiting class was top-65 according to Perfect Game and tops in the WCC.  Twelve join the team as freshman with five transferring in.
