• The Broncos took two of three from Pacific over the weekend, including a 17-run outburst in the series finale Saturday.
• Santa Clara is hitting .284/.392/.465 as a team with 171 runs scored on 56 doubles, seven triples, and 32 home runs.
• Efrain Manzo leads the team in batting average (.333), home runs (9), doubles (11), RBIs (26), and slugging percentage (.725) while scoring 24 runs with a .440 OBP. Dawson Brigman has a .330 average and a .441 OBP with six doubles, three triples, and four home runs while knocking in 13. Robert Hipwell's .479 OBP is tops on the team, as is his 27 runs scored, and he has eight home runs, eight doubles, and 21 RBIs. Malcolm Williams is hitting .305 with a team best 10 steals in 11 attempts.
• On the mound, Santa Clara has a 4.07 ERA, with 239 strikeouts against 99 walks in 243 innings.
• Cole Kitchen's 44 2/3 are the most on the team. He has started eight games and appeared in nine with a 3.02 ERA and 40 strikeouts, also tips on the team. Skylar Hales has 36 punchouts in 27 1/3 innings and a 2.63 ERA with two saves, tied with August Souza, who has a 1.76 ERA, the lowest on the team, for the most on the roster. Blake Hammond has appeared in 11 games out of the bullpen and thrown 20 1/3 innings with 29 strikeouts and a 2.66 ERA.
• Brandon Gomez was named WCC co-Pitcher of the Week on March 20, giving the Broncos three-straight honors.
• Santa Clara swept the WCC weekly awards on March 13 with Efrain Manzo being named the Player of the Week and Skylar Hales the Pitcher of the Week.
• Cole Kitchen was named the WCC Pitcher of the Week on March 6.
• The Broncos have two walkoff home runs this year. Coleman Brigman hit a two-run shot in the 11th against Villanova on March 12. Efrain Manzo then did it on March 26 against San Diego, also in the 11th inning.
• Santa Clara knocked off No. 2 Stanford on the road March 7.
• It was the Broncos first win over Stanford since the finale of a four-game series in 2021. Santa Clara's last midweek win over the Cardinal came in 2016 and the last win in Palo Alto came in 2015.
• The Broncos 2022 recruiting class was top-65 according to Perfect Game and tops in the WCC. Twelve join the team as freshman with five transferring in.
• The renovations at Schott Stadium are complete. The renovations include a completely new turn playing surface, padded fence around the stadium, a new batter's eye, all new chair back seats inside the stadium, and a remodel of the VIP Suite and press box.
