SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara baseball announced the seventh member of the 2022 recruiting class, Caden Wooster, a 6-foot-8 right-handed pitcher from Oakland, California.
"We can't wait to get Caden in our program. He has the utmost potential with an unbelievable work ethic and aptitude," said Broncos head coach Rusty Filter. "He comes from the prestigious Bishop O'Dowd high school and Zoots Baseball programs so we know he's well prepared. We're looking forward to seeing his impact."
The multi-sport athlete also competed on the hardwood for three seasons. On the diamond, Wooster was a three-time Baseball Factory Preseason All-American.
In the classroom, Wooster has been named to the First Honor Roll at Bishop O'Dowd since fall 2018 to the current academic year.
"I chose Santa Clara because of the many STEM opportunities, excellent facilities, and well regarded coaches," said Wooster. "My conversations with Coach Filter about pitching have been very positive, and I appreciate his development based approach. I can't wait to win as a Bronco."
