Meet the Future of Bronco Baseball – Henry Stewart

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Santa Clara baseball announced the 11th member of the 2022 recruiting class, Henry Stewart, an athletic two-way player from JK Mullen High School in Denver, Colorado.

"I chose Santa Clara because it was the right mix of academics, athletics, and location," said Stewart.  "In my research I also found out that the students at Santa Clara are some of the happiest in the country, and that made my choice easy."

The 6-foot-1, 170 pound Stewart who bats and throws from the left side is a two-way varsity starter for the Mustangs for three years.  Last spring, the Lakewood, Colorado native batted .410 and drove in 20 runs.  On the mound, Stewart posted a 3-1 record with a 3.50 ERA.

"Henry is an athlete.  He has the ability to do many things on the field and with that he makes them look easy," said Broncos head coach Rusty Filter.  "He comes from great programs in JK Mullen and the Colorado Slammers baseball club.  Henry will show off his athleticism as he will pitch and hit for the Broncos."
