COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Santa Clara baseball dropped the rubber match of its three-game series at Texas A&M 5-2 on Sunday.

It was a pitcher's duel through the first six innings with the Aggies (10-5) holding a 2-0 lead before the Broncos (9-6) scored a pair in the top of the seventh without a hit. Texas A&M would respond with the go ahead run in the bottom of the seventh and add two insurance runs in the eighth.

The Aggies offense was led by Austin Bost and Jack Moss who both had two hits and a run scored. Dylan Rock had the go-ahead RBI with a pinch hit double in the seventh Brett Minnich added a two-run single in the eighth.

Santa Clara's offense came via wildness from Texas A&M. Two walks started the seventh before a sac bunt moved both runners up. A hit by pitch then loaded the bases and after the second out was recorded, two more walks put the Broncos on the board.

Connor Henriques and Alex Lambeau drew the RBI walks with Matt Jew and Eamonn Lance scoring the runs.
